THE MADOFF FAMILY

As I sit here checking in on my facebook account I see the headline news is Frozen, and then the death of Andrew Madoff son of Bernard Madoff...

Now I have to admit that I had to Google the name, once I found out who he was I remembered the who story...

As I looked at the thousands of post regarding this young man's death I am sick...
People posting horrible feeds such as:
"The sins of the Father"

Karma is a Bitch"
"What Goes around goes around"
"Serves him right"
"Kind of Shakespearean if you ask me  Brilliant"

WOW...
Andrew was 48 years old and lost his battle from cancer...
He grew in his mother's stomach just as everyone of the people that posted this, just as this writer did.  He went to school, I am sure he had friends and others that did not like him.
He had a life... Part of his life was his father but Andrew was never charged for anything..
Then his brother killed himself...
Why is it justice for a son of a felon to go through cancer?

Why is it okay for people to speak such hate towards someone they do not even know?

As Andrew's friends and family grieve today they will go on their facebook wall and write something like this:
"Today I lost my best-friend"
When they look to the side they will see the ticker click on it as I did and be crushed.

Why is our first reaction in this world is to knock someone down..
Shouldn't we be helping each other up..

To the Madoff Family and friends I am so very sorry for your loss, it is a great loss and a heavy one I am sure.
I know no words will make it better but please know that I am praying for Andrew and you all.

1949... 1984.... 2014

Today in history was a huge day although you will not find it in on the cover of any magazine or the front page of any newspaper.
Two of the most important people in history were married...
No it was not the Kennedy's, they are far more important than that.  For if they were not wed this post would never had been written because this writer would never had been here.

The wedding of Geraldine to Delmar on September 3, 1949...
She wore a beautiful white gown that had a long train that she had to carry in her hand when she walked.  She carried a small bouquet of flowers as her dad walked her down the isle.  Her older sister was her maid of honor, two friends as bridesmaid's and her younger sister was the flower girl.  While he stood waiting for her wearing a striped suite with his friend who lived next door to him and two of her brothers and a little boy who was the ring bearer.  They where wed in a Catholic Church on that beautiful day, and beautiful pictures were taken to show the love between them.

As you know grandpa passed away in 1984 from cancer, she took care of him and he passed away at home in their bedroom.
This year in January grandma joined him in heaven, she also passed away in the same room.

Today is the first time in 30 years that they are together for their wedding anniversary.
They say there is no such thing as time in heaven...
It still makes me wonder what it is like.. if I did not think I would not be normal right...

So in my mind today in heaven looks like this:

September 3, 2014:
All of heaven is joined together in a celebration of the love and wedding before God
Our celebrant today will be the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Please stand as the Father of the Bride walks his Daughter down the isle

As Everyone stands all of the angels begin to sing a song so beautiful that fills your soul with such love a love that you can only feel in heaven.
As she walks down the isle she looks up and sees the two men she was always faithful two God the Father and Delmar.  Her mother is there with a huge beautiful smile and all of her brothers are there, her older sister and so many relatives that she never ever knew on earth.  His parents who passed away when he was younger are their and so are all of his relatives.  They are wed before God Himself and the whole day is a day of celebration.
The reception is far more better than the one they had here on earth her favorite song "Frankie and Johnny" and Jim Reeves is there singing his favorite song He'll Have to go".  Geraldine Loved to dance and I can see her getting the Lord to even dance with her.
Enjoy your day Grandma and Grandpa, dance, laugh, celebrate the many years of happiness.  In time we all will be together again... That is in God's time.
